Talks are held last Tuesday of the Month at  Methodist Church Hall, Landseer Road, Ipswich, IP3 9LX, 7.15pm for 7.30 start. Free to members, guests £2. We have a library, produce for sale, refreshments and are always ready for a friendly chat.

Other Local Events

The Transition Ipswich Community Orchard meets at Maidenhall allotments on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Wednesday of the month. email Rona if you want to come on mshrp@gmail.com. If you just turn up we aim to be there from 11am-3pm. You can best see us - and we you - if you shout for our attention at the pedestrian entrance to The People's community Garden (half way down a a track by the wind turbine). We welcome help and if you wanna join it's £10 a year to cover tree costs and allotment rental. 

The People's Community Garden are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Check out their website and events pages. You can drop by but why not call them first to check they are on site and see when they have time to show you about.

BEANPOLE FESTIVAL EVERY SPRING.

Come and buy your beanploes and peas sticks. Grown from coppiced plants on site, this is an excellent, and environmentally superior method of supporting your plants. Find them at Bobbits Lane, off Ellenbrook Rd, Chantry, Ipswich on  the last Sunday in April. There are other stalls and displays of woodcraft, as well as tea of coffer, and excellent homemade cakes.
